‘OhanaGRAM: Kiana Beimes & Ceci Hamao

Dear Outrigger hosts,

Please join me in congratulating KIANA BEIMES on her promotion to OHANA Waikiki East by OUTRIGGER (OEH) general manager and CECI HAMAO on her promotion to OUTRIGGER Waikiki Beachcomber Hotel (OBC) general manager. Kiana and Ceci report to me.

KIANA’s promotion took effect August 9. As general manager, she oversees hotel operations in addition to developing strategic plans to ensure its profitability and growth. Earlier this year, Kiana was appointed OEH hotel manager and previously she was area director of front services overseeing OEH and OBC; assistant area director for OEH, OBC and OUTRIGGER Waikiki Beach Resort and front office manager at OBC. She began her hospitality career in 2013 as an intern at OUTRIGGER Reef Waikiki Beach Resort (ORF) and in the same year was promoted to guest services representative followed by guest services manager before moving to the Beachcomber.

Kiana is grateful to her mentors, Ceci Hamao and Edwin Torres, for their guidance, leadership and friendship. She shares, “I would not be me without them.” Kiana’s free time is spent surfing, traveling and always, making people smile.

CECI’s promotion takes effect August 28, as she transitions out of her role at ORF. As with Kiana, Ceci’s general manager responsibilities are to develop the strategic goals for OBC and oversee operations ensuring both profitability and growth.

Ceci has been resort manager at the ORF since 2022, supporting Markus in leading all operational aspects of the property. Previously she was area director of front services for our Waikīkī hotels. She came to OUTRIGGER from The MODERN Honolulu where she was director of front services. She started her hospitality career at The Royal Hawaiian, a Luxury Collection Resort.

Ceci loves to collect books of her favorite authors; on her nightstand is Vital Voices: 100 Women Using Their Power to Empower. Paris, France, holds the #1 spot on her bucket list travel.
